A wire transfer is a safe way to send or receive money from around the world.

What you need to know about wires

Please be aware that BVCU staff will need to ask you for personal information, including your as your civic address, date of birth.   You will also be asked to show a valid piece of identification. They will also need you to provide personal information for the beneficiary/recipient on the wire.

Depending on where the wire is going, it must pass through many systems, each with its own set of rules. Wires also need comply with anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing laws and regulations. To protect you and BVCU, all wires to have complete and accurate information about the person you are sending (receiving) funds to (from).
