The Airdrie Festival of Lights is a volunteer based, non-profit organization that was started in 1996.
Every year they put on one of Western Canada’s largest outdoor walkthrough Christmas light displays.
Michelle has been with them since 2006, running the festival and handling finance. Deeply rooted in the community, the Airdrie Festival of Lights has always called Bow Valley Credit Union it’s home.
Because the event offers the opportunity for other non-profit groups and community clubs to assist with the festival, AFOL pays it forward through donations to those in the community; it gives AFOL a unique perspective in the not for profit segment.
“You can tell that the commitment from the branch to its members is there every time you walk in the door.”
