ATM Access Changes – October 1st, 2010

The Alberta Regional Network (ARN) was established in 1993 as a joint agreement between Alberta Treasury Branch (ATB) and the Alberta credit unions to allow joint use of ATB and Credit Union Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) without charge. Changes to the payments network are creating an incompatibility with the ARN network which has resulted in the need to discontinue the long standing arrangement with ATB and Alberta’s credit unions.

As of October 1st, withdrawals by credit union members at ATB ATMs will incur the same service charges as non-Credit Union ATMs. In addition, Credit union deposits & bill payments will no longer be accepted at ATB ATMs.
