Benefits of Membership
Membership
at Bow Valley Credit Union is open to anyone who lives in and around
Airdrie, Banff, Canmore and Cochrane. In order to become a member,
you invest up to $25 in the credit union's common shares. Once you've
opened your common share account, all our products and services
are available to you.
Your investment
in Bow Valley Credit Union common shares entitles you to attend
the credit union's annual general meeting and vote on issues important
to the credit union's future. You can also vote for members of the
Board of Directors. Or, run for a position on the Board of Directors
yourself. All Directors come directly from the credit union membership.
Investment in credit union shares entitles you to more than decision-making. It also means you participate in credit union profits in years when the credit union prospers. Since 1991, Bow Valley Credit Union members have received over $1,070,000 in patronage rebates based on the products and services they use.
